Training and Engagement App for Eris Lifesciences

Mobile training and engagement platform for 5,000+ pharmaceutical field employees - 3,500 daily active users, 42% engagement increase, 25% training time reduction.

We built EMS Connect for Eris Lifesciences, a mobile training and engagement platform serving 5,000+ geographically dispersed pharmaceutical employees. The app delivers bite-sized learning modules with gamification, real-time secure messaging, offline access, and video capture for field reports - reaching 3,500 daily active users with 30 minutes average daily usage.

Daily active users: Employees using the platform daily across the Eris Lifesciences workforce.

Average daily usage: Average time spent per employee per day on training, messaging, and field reporting.

Training time reduction: Reduction in overall training time by replacing classroom sessions with bite-sized mobile modules.

User engagement increase: Increase in training engagement after launching gamification and personalized learning paths.

Our field force went from dreading quarterly training workshops to spending 30 minutes a day on the app voluntarily. The gamification works, but the real win is having training, messaging, and field reporting in one place.

The Challenge

What we were up against

Eris Lifesciences had 5,000-7,000+ frontline employees spread across geographies. Traditional classroom training disrupted field schedules, pulled reps away from customers, and could not scale to the growing workforce.

Existing training content was static and one-size-fits-all - no personalized learning paths, no way to measure engagement or completion, and no feedback loop between field performance and training needs.

Field employees needed offline access in areas with poor connectivity, plus a way to capture and submit video reports from customer interactions and product demonstrations without switching between multiple apps.

Added video capture directly within the app for field reports, product demonstrations, and customer interaction recordings - eliminating the need for separate tools and keeping all training and field data in one platform.

Pharma field training apps deliver bite-sized modules (5-10 minutes) designed for completion between customer visits. Offline support lets employees in low-connectivity areas can access materials anytime. Gamification (badges, leaderboards, streaks) drives daily engagement, while personalized paths give each rep training relevant to their role and product lines.
