User roles shipped: Distinct user experiences delivered - creators, brands, general users, and administrators - each with role-specific features.

Delivery timeline: From kickoff to production launch with all four user roles, content feed, discovery, chat, and affiliate tracking.

Content feed: TikTok-style vertical content feed with engagement mechanics and shoppable product tagging.

Collaboration tools: Complete workflow from creator discovery to negotiation to affiliate tracking and analytics.

We had a vision that sat between TikTok and Shopify, and nobody understood it until 1Raft turned it into a working product. Four user roles, a content feed, chat, affiliate tracking - all in 16 weeks.

The Challenge

What we were up against

The founders envisioned a platform combining the engagement of TikTok and Instagram's content experience with structured influencer marketing tools, but no existing solution offered both in a single product - forcing brands and creators to cobble together multiple disconnected tools.

Four distinct user roles (creators, brands, general users, and administrators) each needed fundamentally different experiences within the same platform, from creator portfolio management to brand search and discovery to admin-level analytics and moderation.

Affiliate tracking across social commerce is notoriously fragile. Brands needed reliable attribution from content impression to purchase, with unique codes and links that survive the messy reality of cross-platform sharing.

Frequently asked questions about this project

A marketplace focuses on product listings and transactions. Social commerce adds a content and community layer - users discover products through creator content, influencer recommendations, and social engagement rather than search and category browsing. The content drives commerce organically, which typically produces higher engagement and repeat visits than catalog-style discovery.
